Mission
- “The mission of the Ottawa Dragon Boat Foundation is to help build, strengthen and enhance community life in Ottawa by raising, managing and distributing funds to charitable organizations.”
Pledge Challenge
- In 1998, a charitable component was added to the Ottawa Dragon Boat Race Festival raising funds for local charities on an annual basis.
- The Ottawa Dragon Boat Foundation was established in 2003 to help focus and grow the level of community support.
- The Pledge Challenge is an opportunity for our paddlers and the general public to raise funds for local charities. Money is raised on behalf of the Ottawa Dragon Boat Foundation and then dispersed to selected charities.
- To date over 2.1 million has been raised through the Pledge Challenge and those funds have benefited over 28 Ottawa area charities.

- The Pledge Challenge deadline is June 19th 2011 1:30 p.m., Sunday of Festival weekend
